Just finished a custom album for a customer. She asked me to come up with an alternative to the classic baby book that everyone has for their kids - You know what I'm talking about - right? You had one and your mom probably had one too! My client asked that I come up with something similiar (that includes blanks to fill in about all the important stuff) but also lots of room for pictures. Those little baby books never seem to have enough space for pictures. So this is what I came up with. Click here to see the whole album. She is giving it as a gift to her sister-in-law. Now, all the new mama will have to do is fill in the blanks, and stick her pictures in! Yea! A great solution for new moms.... Great gift idea. Contact me if you are interested in a similar album.
Two things that I have to "capture" in my scrapbooks soon:
"Connor wears Daddy's big shoes...Goin' to work"
AND
"Connor wears blue shoes."
I LOVE how he talks in 3rd person most of the time right now. Precious. I try to write down alot of the funny, sweet things he tells us about "Connor."
"Connor doesn't like it." "Connor do it." "Connor goin' to MeMaw's house in Mommy's car."
He always surprises us with something new.
So now - here are the TWO things I want to scrapbook soon........
1.) Last night, Sean took this picture of him in his new pj's with Daddy's work shoes on. I am planning on doing a whole layout about Connor and Sean and their relationship. They really are best buddies... always enjoying each other's company. Sean is an incredible father.... Connor wants to be just like him - helping him around the house, "shaving" with him in the mornings, and wearing his shoes. Connor, those are big shoes to fill - in more than one way. You are one blessed little boy.
2.) AND NOW -- the BLUE SHOES.... Another scrapbook page waiting to happen. They are Crocs. I resisted buying these for a long time. I didn't think they were the most attractive, classic little boy shoe (I'm a classic girl). THEN, Connor's Memaw (Sean's Mom) bought him these blue Mickey Crocs at the beginning of the summer. I have been HOOKED ever since. HE lives in these shoes! They still are crazy looking shoes - but I don't care! great for throwing on to go outside. These shoes have been through alot through the last few months - he has learned how to put on his own shoes with them, learned his left and right, and his colors! At the beginning of the summer they were "Connor's Green Shoes." We worked and worked on reminding him that they really were "blue" - and then overnight, it all fell into place in his little brain.. and they are "Connor's Blue Shoes" now!!!
What little "Everyday Things" do you need to write about and capture? Is it shoes - a special piece of clothing - a favorite toy -a silly song- a unique relationship? Think about it... Take some time soon to write a few words about those things... You don't want it to slip away......... Everyday is filled with so many great things - We just have to open our eyes.
